Whenever Shadowrun comes up, sooner or later somebody describes it the same way: "It's cyberpunk with elves." I get it. Look at Shadowrun for thirty seconds and you'll see all the familiar pieces. Megacorporations have more power than governments. Cyberware lets people replace flesh with machinery. Hackers break into corporate systems. Street mercenaries take dangerous jobs because somebody has to pay the rent. The streets are dirty, the cities are covered in neon, and the people at the bottom are trying to survive while the people at the top own damn near everything. That's cyberpunk, but it's only half of Shadowrun.
