I finished jumping-through-the-hoops to 'subscribe', than to say a bit of something.
I stumbled across Evil DM, over on Bitchute, several months ago, and am 'thankful' for it.
I used to play the TT\P&P AD&D, back in very late 80's, into very early 90's.
The first vid to get my attention was the 'Stirge'...
I was like wow, when was the last time I thought of those pests.
Today, I saw the 'Phase Door', which brought to mind several thoughts.
I've had Three DMs, in that period, and yes, the DM makes all the difference...
Just present 'Your Case' with reasoning {Foundational is best, IMHO due to experience} that supports
your actions, and only on very rare occasions, the DM will {After seeing the players reactions to a well thought-out explanation.} say 'No'.
Most of the time, it is due to 'Story-Line' issues.
After all, collective 'Fun', is what it is all about....
{ I still laugh at how my Dwarven Gladiator, died {Well beyond negative 10 HP} due to being 'Golf-Balled' by an Iron Giant that got a Natural 20 }
Again, the DM makes the difference, in how they tell the 'Tale' that the party experiences.
Pete & Eddie, were 2 of the 'Best' DMs, I ever had, bet Ed, was the better of the pair.
He would bring that Menanzobaran {I honestly forget how it was spelled} Boxed Edition.}, so we all had an idea of what to expect.
I didn't expect, what He did...
Every player at the table, had Module B2 at home.... Somehow, this guy gave us 4 sessions of intensity, by using B2, as just the traveling into Mennenzoboran, and we didn't realize it for those 4 sessions. Of course the HP, and quantity of units was increased, if not maxed, but c'mon now, B2, being challenging...
You bring many things to consider, when you do these vids.
Well I am glad you found me on Bitchute. Not many folks find me on there, more find me on Rumble or Youtube first. What you said in this reply is exactly why I do videos and talk about things, its to trigger memories and fuel ideas for people. When I did Podcast years ago I always said, "if just one person walks away and says, Vince, that topic got me to crack open the books and use it and we had a blast, I knew I was doing things right!"
Genius! I love it!
After reading Your 3 point Mottoes, if I did digital money, I would but you some 'Dice'.
I just love that it wasn't 'a cup-of-coffee' like {pulling out 'Broad Brush'} everyone else.
Haha. Thank you. :)

So much fun to be had with this one!
