Why I love All Flesh Must Be Eaten Roleplaying Game
If you’ve never tried All Flesh Must Be Eaten (AFMBE), or if you’re one of the long-time fans who still has their dog-eared copy on the shelf, this video is for you. AFMBE isn’t just another zombie RPG… it’s one of the most flexible, accessible systems out there.
The CLASSIC Unisystem rules make the game simple to learn, even for players brand new to tabletop roleplaying. At its heart, it’s about rolling a d10, adding your Attribute and Skill, and seeing if you can beat a target number. That’s it. The ease of play means groups can jump straight into the tension of survival horror without getting bogged down in rule lookups.
What really makes AFMBE stand out is its versatility. The core book gives you everything you need to run survival horror in almost any flavor: from classic Romero shamblers to fast-moving rage zombies, to stranger twists that push into supernatural or sci-fi territory. The GM has a wide toolbox, and the “Deadworlds” mini settings baked into the rules, show just how far you can take the concept.
For me, AFMBE has always been a favorite go-to zombie RPG. It hits the right balance between fast play and meaningful choices, letting tension and story carry the session. It’s also endlessly expandable, so you can run a one-shot night of horror or a long campaign of post-apocalyptic survival.
This video covers the basics: what AFMBE is, how it plays, and why it still holds up after all these years. My passion for this game runs deep, and this is just the beginning. More videos are on the way, diving into rules, Deadworlds, and ways to bring your own nightmares to the table.

Heh, how have I not heard of this one??
