Well its been another week and here is your weekly email for the things I have been doing on this site, youtube, podcasts and anything else.
Updates
I announced on Feb 11th:
Hey folks due to a change in position at work, I've taken on more responsibility, so for a while as I get adjusted, I am going down to 1 video a week, Wednesday at 4pm Central time. I will add this to my weekly Black Notebook (theevildm.com) email blog update that goes out on Fridays. I've been trying to put out quality videos with thoughtful commentary and so far I've gotten some good feedback from folks. Remember youtube is for fun, its not a job. Once it becomes a job, it becomes work.
Why am I doing this?
I won’t lie. After a break, I need to reset the YouTube algorithm to get my channel shown again. It sees me as a dormant channel, and when that happens (according to experts), you need to do a slow release to get back into things; otherwise, YouTube will start seeing you as spamming. I don’t get it… I’m just following “expert” advice here.
As you know, I don’t take YouTube numbers all that seriously. I’m not worried about subs or view counts, unlike some other OSR channels that fixate on those metrics. YouTube is just a hobby for me. And that’s that!
