Cinema 8 - A Minimalist d8 System.
Something I am toying with and writing as I look for ways to challenge my solo roleplaying brain.
I love the idea of challenging myself, and solo roleplaying really scratches that itch in my brain for fun. Yeah, I’m probably a weirdo, but hey, aren’t all gamers weird in one way or another?
Anyway, this is a basic d8 system that I started writing in 2016, but I lost steam and dropped it. Recently, while going through my files, I saw it sitting there lonely in my “abandoned systems” folder on OneDrive. I opened it up and thought, "Well, it’s basically done except for some polishing, so let’s give it another try."
Above, you can see a basic glimpse of what the character would look like. The system is very “lite,” using a d8 and comparing results against a target.
